Position: Vehicle Technician

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 42 hours per week (1 in 4 weekends - Morning Shift)

Salary: 33,000 to 38,000 per annum, plus bonuses and overtime

Job Overview:

As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles to the highest standards. You will be responsible for performing various services, diagnosing issues, and ensuring that all work meets manufacturer specifications. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicles, including oil changes, brake servicing, and tire replacements.
Conduct thorough diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
Carry out repairs and replacements on vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and complies with manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed, including parts used and labor times.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs, provide cost estimates, and answer any questions they may have.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Keep the workshop clean and organized, maintaining tools and equipment in good working order.
Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a similar role.
Relevant qualifications in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Strong diagnostic skills with experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
Full UK driving license.
