Reed is working with a college based in Nantgarw that is seeking a dedicated Carpentry Lecturer on an ongoing temporary position. This role requires a commitment of 37 hours per week, including 24 hours of teaching.

Job Title: Carpentry Lecturer

Position: Full time – 37 hours (24 hours teaching, 13 hours admin)

Role type: Temporary Ongoing

Location: Nantgarw

Salary: £30p/h to £40p/h including holiday pay teaching rate, £13p/h to £15p/h including holiday pay admin rate

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering high-quality carpentry training to students at various levels.
  • Preparing lesson plans and materials based on the curriculum.
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback to enhance their learning experience.
  • Engaging with students to inspire and motivate them in the field of carpentry.
  • Maintaining records of student attendance, grades, and progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification in carpentry.
  • A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of carpentry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
