Senior Web Developer - Hybrid working

We are currently working with one of our biggest customers who are looking to hire an experienced Senior Web Developer to work on a hybrid basis. The ideal is a minimum of 2 days in the office.

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer who would like to help us reach our mission to ‘earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service'.

As the Senior Web Developer your key responsibilities are

  • Analyse user requirements or where appropriate supporting colleagues performing the Analysis role.
  • Design, development and support in-house systems and integration with current and future OTS (off the shelf) systems and technologies.
  • Work with colleagues in the ICT department to improve and maintain levels of efficiency.
  • Show initiative – keep abreast of technologies and support Applications Development Team Leader in the delivery of innovative, quality solutions, delivering real value to the business.

About you

  • Able to self-manage own workload and work with little direction, whilst providing technical guidance to your colleagues
  • Actively keep abreast of new technologies
  • Analytical and methodical approach – work is thought through fully ensuring all relevant information is accounted for, considering existing usages and processes and how changes will affect the stability, usability, and growth of a system
  • Experience with and excellent working knowledge of:
    • PHP or relevant frameworks
    • HTML and CSS
    • JavaScript or relevant frameworks
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. git)
  • Commercial experience of building websites
  • Customer focussed with a drive to efficiently meet business needs
