What Will Your Maintenance Technician Role Include?

  • Supporting the installation of new equipment
  • Trouble shooting within the plant and processes to ensure that production downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Supporting the planned preventative system to ensure maintenance is carried out to agreed schedule
  • Identifying and delivering improvements in overall equipment efficiencies
  • Providing input and support to cost reduction initiatives
  • Ensure all contractors' information is reviewed and permits work are issued prior to work being carried out
  • Contributing to facilities management for the site.
  • Supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the quality system for the site
  • Making sure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ideally qualified to HNC level and having completed a time served apprenticeship
  • Multi-skill ability with an electrical bias preferred, but mechanical bias with good electrical skills also considered.
  • Experience of working with equipment such as pipework, pumps, vessels, etc. is desirable.
