What would I be doing as an Electrical Workshop Engineer?

Carrying out daily workshop duties building bespoke machinery and equipment including assembly and testing of components
Goods in inspection and goods out packaging and crating / palletising
Producing assembly kits for production
Carrying out installations of machines into customers premises, commissioning machines
Training operators on the machinery on customer premises when required
Breakdown assistance at customer premises and remote assistance to customers of components and equipment. (rarely)
Provide feedback to design engineers for improvements and modifications and any updates to drawings.

The qualifications and experience required to be an Electrical Workshop Engineer…?

Time served or other relevant qualification within Electrical Engineering
Experience working with heavy plant / industrial machinery
A background within the food manufacturing or packaging industry would be advantageous for this role
Proven experience reading and working from technical drawings to troubleshoot and repair faults
Electrically biased with sound mechanical knowledge
A Team player with a willingness to learn and undertake further training where required
