Financial Controller – Manufacturing  Are you one of those rare Finance people who doesn’t just see numbers but sees stories? Who doesn’t just manage finances but owns them? If yes, keep reading.  Our client, a thriving manufacturing business near the M6, needs a Financial Controller. Someone to whip their finances into shape, lead the team, and make sure the numbers add up—not just on spreadsheets but in real life.  The Role  It’s not a sit-back-and-coast type of gig. You’ll be the person ensuring their financial ship stays afloat and on course.  That means:
  • Planning & Analysis: Budgets, forecasts, and spotting financial opportunities like a hawk.
  • Reporting: Balance sheets, cash flow, P&Ls—prepared accurately and on time. No excuses.
  • Control: Putting in processes that make dodgy numbers impossible.
  • Operational Finance: Work closely with operations to find ways to save costs and make better decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, turning them into a well-oiled machine.
  What You’ll Need
  • A qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience in manufacturing (or something close).
  • ERP systems? You’ll know them inside out.
  • Leadership skills to build a team that delivers.
