A global leader in manufacturing is seeking a Financial Controller for its Carlisle plant, responsible for overseeing financial performance, managing internal controls, and leading a team of three finance professionals. The role requires at least 5 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment, strong financial control skills, and a relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

Description

  • Oversee financial key performance indicators, ensuring adherence to Group accounting standards, USGAAP, and local regulations
  • Maintain a robust internal controls framework and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Lead and manage the finance team
  • Develop and review budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Track and analyse manufacturing costs, identifying and addressing variances from standard costs
  • Assist other plant departments in evaluating their cost performance
  • Identify financial issues, implement corrective actions, and monitor progress
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to achieve excellence in financial performance
  • Ensure the financial statements are accurate, in line with internal procedures and controls
  • Guarantee compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
