Your new companyOur client, a specialist, global manufacturing organisation based in Wigton is recruiting a talented, qualified Management Accountant due to a recent internal promotion. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will ensure financial reporting is in place and the relevant controls are applied.This is a critical partnering role, liaising with all functions across the business.Key responsibilities of this Management Accountant job are:-

  • Preparation of monthly reports for review, communication and analysis
  • All aspects of month end reporting to the shareholders and cost centre managers
  • Staff management and development of 2 direct reports
  • Act is a key business partner to a wide range of stakeholders within finance and cross-functionally
  • Working closely with the UK Financial Controller to understand impact of Operational performance on UK result
  • Monthly VAT and Intrastat submissions
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of annual budgets
  • Apply a continuous improvement ethos towards all processes and assist with the development and redesign of various reporting and analysis tools
  • Manage and control customer pricing
  • Administration of agent commission agreements ensuring all accruals and subsequent payment are in accordance with contractual agreement
  • Manage HMRC requirements
  • Liaising with both Internal and External auditors
  • Acting as key support for UK Financial controller, providing cover when required
  • Acting as the financial lead on various cross functional projects as required
  • Other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required

The skill and experience required for this Management Accountant job include:-Fully Qualified Accountant, or part qualified nearing completion

  • Strong analytical skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level of Microsoft Excel skills including competency in dealing with high volumes of data, SAP experience preferred but not essential
  • Proven commercial acumen within a manufacturing or engineering organisation is desirable
