Your new companyOur client, a specialist, global manufacturing organisation based in Wigton is recruiting a talented, qualified Management Accountant due to a recent internal promotion. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will ensure financial reporting is in place and the relevant controls are applied.This is a critical partnering role, liaising with all functions across the business.Key responsibilities of this Management Accountant job are:-
- Preparation of monthly reports for review, communication and analysis
- All aspects of month end reporting to the shareholders and cost centre managers
- Staff management and development of 2 direct reports
- Act is a key business partner to a wide range of stakeholders within finance and cross-functionally
- Working closely with the UK Financial Controller to understand impact of Operational performance on UK result
- Monthly VAT and Intrastat submissions
- Assisting with the preparation and review of annual budgets
- Apply a continuous improvement ethos towards all processes and assist with the development and redesign of various reporting and analysis tools
- Manage and control customer pricing
- Administration of agent commission agreements ensuring all accruals and subsequent payment are in accordance with contractual agreement
- Manage HMRC requirements
- Liaising with both Internal and External auditors
- Acting as key support for UK Financial controller, providing cover when required
- Acting as the financial lead on various cross functional projects as required
- Other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
The skill and experience required for this Management Accountant job include:-Fully Qualified Accountant, or part qualified nearing completion
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- High level of Microsoft Excel skills including competency in dealing with high volumes of data, SAP experience preferred but not essential
- Proven commercial acumen within a manufacturing or engineering organisation is desirable
