We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Shift Manager with expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to oversee our food production team. You will lead, optimise, and enhance operations, ensuring top-quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Inspire and coach your team to uphold high standards in food production. Provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Apply Lean principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Drive initiatives that enhance overall production performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement. Identify and implement enhancements to boost quality, reduce costs, and optimize workflows.
  • Production Management: Meet production targets focusing on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), accuracy, waste control, and labor efficiency.
  • System Utilization: Use systems like Autostore, Workday, SAP, and Absence Manager to produce and analyze data for better decision-making.
  • Communication: Ensure clear communication between shifts and departments to address and resolve operational issues swiftly.
  • Quality and Compliance: Adhere to Quality Management Systems and food safety standards, maintaining high hygiene audit scores.

Essential Qualifications:
 

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a food production team with integrity and high performance standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Experience in applying Lean principles to enhance production processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Track record of successful Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Experience: Relevant management experience in food production, with strong communication skills.
