Adecco is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and reputable company well-known within their industry. Due to maternity leave, our client is seeking a dedicated individual to join their finance team for a 6-month period.

Salary: £26,000 P/A

Key Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in all aspects of credit control.
  • Familiarity with credit agencies and associated processes.
  • A professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Confidence in working with Excel spreadsheets and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP Business One (advantageous, but not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

As a Credit Controller, you will be:

  • Fully responsible for managing your own ledger.
  • Proactively contacting customers to ensure timely payments and meeting both individual and team targets.
  • Accurately allocating all incoming payments to customer accounts.
  • Collaborating with internal departments, nationwide branches, and external stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Handling customer inquiries via phone and either addressing queries or directing them to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and detailed ledger, following company procedures for notifying/escalating potential bad debts.
