Skills required for the role of an electrical controls engineer:
- PLC knowledge, fault finding and programming
- SCADA
- Hazardous areas COMPEX 1-4 qualification
- Programming languages such as: Ladder logic, C+, and structured text
- Vision controls systems experience
- HNC / HND from a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Process improvement and root cause analysis
- Previous experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
As a part of this role your daily duties, you will be:
- Reporting downtimes and maintenance on the CMMS system
- Identify system / PLC faults and identifying the root cause
- Carrying out work orders and planned maintenance
- Creating new PLC programs and software updates when required
- Redesign and modify plant equipment to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
- Ensure that software backups are created and maintained to protect plant machinery
Hours:
- 38 per week
- Monday Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
