The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working as part of a team ensuring all equipment is operating to the required standards to ensure safe operation and to maintain production requirements and quality standards.
Repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and components
Fault finding automated electrical systems using PLC diagnostic skills
Preventative maintenance
Assist other electrical and mechanical teams to complete maintenance work
Ensure all electrical components in the area are functioning correctly
Electrical installation work
Training and mentoring apprentices
Suitable Candidate:
Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance
17th or 18th Edition
Knowledge of Siemens PLCs
Ability to read and understand electrical control drawings
Ability to diagnose AC/DC motor faults
Knowledge of PLC to PLC and PLC to database communication, barcode scanning systems, and other industrial communication systems is desirable
Strong communicator
Able to work within a team environment
Flexibility when needed around hours to cover shifts
