About Us
We are seeking Multiskilled Engineers to join our esteemed food manufacturing client, recognized for producing high-quality, innovative food products supplied to leading retail and food service customers across the UK. In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering team to carry out daily maintenance tasks, ensuring all work aligns with Health & Safety regulations and site policies. Your efforts will be key in maintaining machinery and production equipment, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance on machinery and production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with Health & Safety Regulations and follows Safe Systems of Work.
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on systems and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve recurring issues through root cause analysis, implementing solutions to improve equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to improve operational processes and performance.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience within Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance and will ideally have worked in the food production industry
Qualifications & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or an apprenticeship.
- Previous experience within Food Manufacturing or FMCG environments is preferred, not essential.
- Prior experience in planned and reactive maintenance roles is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving recurring issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with colleagues at all levels within the business.
