Maintenance Electrician
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a dynamic Maintenance team in Carlisle.

Role Details:
- Hours: 40 hours per week. Initially, the role will operate on day shifts (08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday), but candidates must have the flexibility to cover a rotating 3-shift pattern and weekends as required.
- Salary: ,45,000 per annum.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are met. This role focuses on improving safety, quality, and overall efficiency, primarily through proactive and reactive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems and PLC-controlled machinery in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Maintain and fault-find AC/DC motors and Servo Drive systems (experience desirable).
- Conduct electrical installations and preventative maintenance testing.
- Troubleshoot network systems at the machine level in collaboration with IT support.
- Assist and collaborate with the electrical and mechanical team to complete maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Train and mentor apprentices.
- Complete tasks assigned by supervisors and attend relevant training and development programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Time-served Electrical Engineer with relevant technical qualifications.
- HNC qualified or equivalent with 3+ years of industrial experience.
- 17th/18th Edition qualification (preferred).
- Technical Competence:
- Problem-solving skills and technical expertise in processes and machinery.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC control
- Knowledge of Siemens Sinamics drive control
- Familiarity with PLC-to-database communication, barcode scanning, and industrial communication systems (desired).
- Ability to diagnose and repair single-phase and three-phase systems, as well as AC/DC motor faults.
- Strong ability to read and understand electrical control drawings.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Resilient under pressure and highly organized with good IT skills.
