Overview:We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
You will support the cyber security of clients of David Allen IT Solutions by working remotely using our RMM technologies, and on-site at customers premises to ensure effective cyber security controls and processes are in place and actioned.
The purpose will be to deliver excellent customer service and ensure all work delivered is accurate and efficient at all times.
Main Duties:
- Support clients’ cyber security systems both remotely and on-site, ensuring effective controls are in place.
- Respond promptly to cyber security alerts, following defined processes and escalating when needed.
- Monitor backup infrastructure, perform restore tests, and address issues or failures.
- Identify, triage, and resolve security vulnerabilities using tools like Microsoft Defender and VSA.
- Assist clients with Cyber Essentials certification, gathering data and identifying compliance gaps.
- Support internal ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations, including audits and penetration tests.
- Maintain clear communication with the team, providing updates on work and suggesting improvements.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and ensure apprenticeship assessments are completed on time.

- Problem-solving skills, especially in troubleshooting security issues.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
Entry requirementsThe entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
- an A Level in ICT
- OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
- OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
- OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
