Stafforce Carlisle is working with a large national food company to find a new Breeder Service Team Member. This role is based in the countryside near Carlisle and has come up because the team is growing and they need more help to keep up with demand.

This job isn't your typical 9 to 5 - every day is different. You'll be visiting different farms to help with tasks like vaccinating birds and moving them between sites. Some days will involve more physical work, especially during busy times, but you'll be playing a big part in making sure the birds are healthy and producing top-quality hatching eggs.

You'll also help out with:

  • Placing chicks in their new homes
  • Weighing and sorting birds
  • Moving flocks
  • Taking samples and collecting eggs (when needed)

You'll be given a shared work van, so you must have a full, clean UK driving licence and no driving offences.

To be right for this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in farming, especially working with poultry (chickens or similar birds). You should enjoy hands-on work and want to keep learning and improving your skills. A strong interest in farming and animal welfare is really important too - the company cares a lot about doing things the right way.

What's on offer:

  • A good hourly wage
  • Overtime paid at time-and-a-half (after 40 hours per week)
  • Monday to Friday working hours, with some weekend availability needed when things get busy

If you're looking for a hands-on job where you can grow your farming skills in a large, well-known company, we'd love to hear from you - apply today!
