Are you a mortgage advisor based in the Carlisle area looking for a new role in a family run business with family at the its core.

In this hybrid position, you will be an integral member of the Mortgage Advice team spending part of the week working remotely from home and also will work closely with our very successful estate agency business partner, managing leads from them and providing the client with a first class experience, which is at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll be expected to hit the ground running so experience working in a fast-paced environment is essential. You are required to have a solid working knowledge of the Mortgage Broker role to be considered.

This is a diverse role where you will:

  • Engage with potential buyers coming through the estate agency.
  • Collaborate with their sales team to maximise client referrals and deliver high-quality service and advice.
  • Create new opportunities in South Cumbria.
  • Ensure strong conversion rates from lead to business.
  • Generate your own leads by actively participating in our social media and marketing campaigns.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and organised.

  • Driven to succeed with a thirst for achieving excellent results.
  • A team player who can work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A full driving license is essential as this role involves travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle new leads from the estate agency sales team.
  • Create greater brand awareness in South Cumbria
  • Service clients from existing client base.
  • Research products and lenders to find the best options for clients.
  • Present clients with tailored mortgage solutions.
  • Keep our CRM system updated.
  • Collaborate with the team to maximise business opportunities.
  • Help raise our profile through social media, marketing campaigns, and networking.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and maintain CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
  • Work within compliance guidelines

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • A genuine interest in helping people.
  • Strong communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
  • Confidence in holding virtual meetings via Teams and Zoom.
  • Networking ability.

Requirements

  • Cmap qualified or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of mortgage broking experience.
  • Passion for delivering excellent client outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A driving license.
  • Ability and motivation to work from home.
  • 1 day a month in our Head Office in Carlisle.
