Your new companyOur client, a market-leading, growing Group business based in Carlisle, has created an exciting new role for a senior finance professional to join them on a permanent basis as Head of Finance. The successful candidate will oversee the management of the Finance function, leading a team of 4, and ensuring robust financial controls and procedures are in place to enable timely reporting to the senior management. Your new roleReporting to the Group Finance Director, typical duties will include:

  • Overall management of the finance team
  • Ensure the maintenance of robust financial controls and procedures
  • Cash flow management
  • Produce and analyse weekly financial results
  • Weekly monitoring and reporting on progress against KPIs
  • Production of Monthly Reporting Packs
  • Financial analysis and variance analysis
  • Assistance in preparation of corporate and investor packs
  • Fixed asset control and Capex expenditure
  • External audit/HMRC/Statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Project due diligence.
  • Preparation of annual budget and forecasts
  • Overall ownership of accounting and related systems
  • Use of Company platforms, databases, storage mechanisms, software and hardware supplied, in order to store, record and compile information efficiently
  • Determine when an issue requires escalation and do so as necessary
  • Continual development and improvement of finance provision within the company
  • Maintain Company and client confidentiality at all times
  • To be able to lead the finance team to achieve the company performance targets
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times in particular the Company's Health and Safety policy.
