Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced electrical professional to join as an Electrical Tutor. This role will allow you to enhance your knowledge while being supported through training, enabling you to complete electrical work to exceptional standards of safety and quality. If you possess strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, you could play a vital role in training the next generation of electricians.



Job Purpose:

You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning in all aspects of the electrical syllabus, focusing on both theoretical and practical components for City & Guilds and EAL courses at Level 3 and above.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging course materials to support the electrical curriculum.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain relationships with external parties and assist with industry events.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in the electrical field and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of apprentices at all times.


Person Specification:



Essential Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in electrical installation with verifiable industry experience.
  • Current knowledge of industry practices and techniques relevant to building services engineering.
  • Good IT skills and strong administrative and organizational abilities.


Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge or involvement in government training schemes and National Vocational Qualifications.
  • Assessor qualifications (e.g., D32, D33, A1 or TAQA).
  • Recognized teaching qualifications (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or Cert Ed) are advantageous but training can be provided.
