Job Purpose

The role carries responsibility for collaborating with the Customer, Goods Inwards, and Dispatch departments to ensure necessary functions are executed correctly. Key tasks include managing mid-year and end-of-year stock takes, liaising with Customers, and adhering to procedures set by Customer Auditors. The role involves implementing inventory control measures to minimize stock loss and maximize accuracy in stock systems and paperwork.

  • Timings: Monday Friday, 08;00 17:30
  • Hours: Monday Friday (47.5 hours)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

HR Responsibilities

  • Uphold core values and maintain a positive atmosphere.

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental regulations, and all company policies.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory processes to ISO9001 standards.
  • Analyse stock KPI reports and recommend SOP improvements.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory, including stock profiles and locations.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy checks.
  • Remove obsolete stock.
  • Manage incoming and outbound products per procedures.
  • Ensure stock management system accuracy.
  • Produce daily reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Address and resolve inventory mistakes.

Additional Duties

  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Adhere to all ATL policies and procedures

Criteria: Qualifications and Training

Essential: Educated to High School (secondary) standard.

Desirable: Relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background in inventory management.

Criteria: Knowledge and Experience

Essential: Strong analytical approach to problem-solving.

Essential: 1-2 years experience in an inventory environment role.

Desirable: Detailed understanding of SAP/Red Prairie for inventory control and management.

Criteria: Skills and Aptitude

Essential: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer-focused environment.

Essential: Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Essential: Excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practices.

Essential: Achieve a minimum of 99.6% inventory accuracy.

Desirable: Counterbalance FLT license.
