Your Role
We are looking for dedicated support workers to work within our adults and children’s packages in the Carlisle area. This is a community based role and will require both lone working and double up’s.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Promoting independence
- Managing behaviours and emotions
- Supporting with Autism, ADHD and Learning Difficulties
- Supporting sensory needs
- Managing medication
- Supporting with mental health
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Meal preparation
- Social enrichment
- Education support
- Personal care

Requirements of the role
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Previous experience within a professional care setting, preferably community based.
- Previous work experience and knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour, complex care and mental health.
- Be strong willed and resilient
- Strong knowledge and experience in using alternative methods of communication
- Able to use own judgement and make informed decisions in emergency situations
- Able to work as part of team
- Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policie
Shift Patterns
This is a full-time role working on a zero hour contract, all staff will be required to work on a weekend on weekend off basis on a rolling rota. Currently part time hours are not available due to client requirements.
Week 1- Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2- Wed, Thurs, Fri
