Catering Assistant
Job Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: 11.44
Hours: 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
We are recruiting for a Catering Assistant for a well-established and reputable client of ours based in Carlisle.
Main Responsibilities
- Serving hot and cold food from behind the counter
- Making hot beverages using machines
- Taking payments and use of the till
- Engaging with customers in a positive and friendly manner
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge and informing the customer of daily specials and meal deals
- Clearing tables and cleaning duties to ensure the restaurant is clean and presentable at all times
- Liaising with the kitchen to ensure food is cooked and the counter is fully replenished and ready for busy periods
What we need from you:
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- An understanding of what good customer service should look like
- Experience within a similar role, ideally in catering environment (i.e. restaurant, caf, fast food business)
- Training will be provided but you must be willing to apply yourself and learn new skills
