Section Engineer - Substation Extension Project, Carlisle

Contract: Initial 3 months, with potential extension for the 2-year project
iRecruit UK is looking for skilled Section Engineers to join a Substation Extension Project in Carlisle. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a leading Tier 1 contractor on a significant infrastructure project, with the potential for long-term involvement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the setting out and surveying of construction works.
- Supervise site operations, including reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame building activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with site and senior engineers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain accurate records of work and liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
Requirements:
- Solid experience as a Section Engineer on construction sites, particularly in reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame construction.
- Competence in setting out and surveying is essential.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead site activities.
This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering a competitive day rate. The initial contract is for 3 months, with the opportunity for extension as part of the 2-year project.
