The Project

As an experienced Technical Coordinator, you will work closely with the wider Technical and Design teams to support the business growth and commercial objectives. You will ensure all technical aspects of the projects are properly managed, coordinated and executed and will be heavily involved in the pre-construction, design and on-site construction stages of new build housing developments across Cumbria. Using your industry expertise and team working skills; you will bridge the gap between design, planning and operations teams by acting as a liaison between departments, site teams and subcontractors to ensure all parties are aligned with the projects technical requirements.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you hold the qualifications / experience below;

  • Proven history of working with market leading housing contractors
  • Experience working in a technical position within the housing / residential sector
  • Relevant Industry Qualification and/or at least 5 years minimum within the industry working in a technical position

Knowledge

  • Commercial Awareness
  • Experienced in the use of AutoCAD
  • Extensive knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Prior interaction with NHBC / LABS / SBD standards
  • Strong understanding of construction laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of legal frameworks associated with planning management

The Role

Duties

  • Use of AutoCAD
  • Produce status reports
  • Maintain and update records
  • Assist with feasibility studies
  • Attend subcontractor meetings
  • Reporting into Technical Director
  • Liaison with wider technical team
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Assist with development procurement
  • Monitor progress across various projects
  • Liaising with solicitors and sales departments
  • Obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors
  • Appoint and identify external consultant requirements
  • Manage the submission of regulations and applications
  • Coordination and distribution of design drawing and project information
  • Distribution of all design information produced to all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure health & safety as well as company policies/ procedures are adhered to
  • Provide technical support to design, planning, commercial, operations and development teams
  • Oversee the filing of Building Regulations and warranty submissions, including overseeing the discharge of conditions
