Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Salary: 55,000 to 68,000 + car/allowance & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major refurbishment and upgrade programme to a substation near to Carlisle. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a site based team and play a key role in delivering this important project which aims to improve the capacity of the existing facility.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all costs relating to the project
- Ensuring the project is being delivered within budget
- Providing accurate commercial and contractual advice to the project team
- Preparing all tender and contract documents
- Identifying and managing commercial risks across the project
- Managing subcontractor procurement, applications for payment and negotiation of final accounts
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a major infrastructure project
- Previous experience using the NEC suite of contracts
- Excellent communication skills
