We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site operations, including reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame buildings. Previous experience in managing Temporary Works and lifting operations is essential. The role also involves overseeing the work of site and section engineers, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Temporary Works Coordination: Oversee and manage all aspects of Temporary Works on site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, design requirements, and best practices.
  • Construction Management: Supervise the delivery of reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame building projects. Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Lifting Operations: Coordinate and manage lifting operations, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the site and section engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the correct specification.
  • Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture on site, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets the required standards, and resolve any issues or defects that arise.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, risk assessments, and safety audits, and ensure timely submission of documentation.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.

Key Requirements:

  • Construction Experience: Proven experience in managing reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame buildings.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (e.g., HNC/HND or degree level).
  • CSCS Card: Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience with lifting operations and working with heavy plant and machinery.
  • Experience with software for project management and reporting
  • First Aid and Site Safety qualifications are an advantage.
