About Us:Randstad is excited to partner with the Safe and Protect Team in Carlisle to recruit a dedicated and experienced Social Worker. In this crucial role, you will be working to safeguard vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being through proactive interventions and support.

Job Description:As a Social Worker in the Safe and Protect Team, you will manage a caseload of children and families who are at risk of harm.Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing safeguarding plans, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to protect children and promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement protection plans to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
  • Work in partnership with families, schools, health services, and other professionals to deliver coordinated interventions.
  • Attend and participate in child protection case conferences, strategy meetings, and core group meetings.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports for court proceedings, safeguarding reviews, and care planning meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience working in child protection or safeguarding roles.
  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding procedures, and relevant policies.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively under pressure..
