Transport Administrator
Job type: Temporary (6 Months)
Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm (45hours/Week)
Pay rate: £11.50/hr.
Location: Carlisle (Rural)
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills to work for a well-establish logistics business.
The role:
You will be responsible for liaising with customers and drivers, accurately recording date and providing an efficient administration support function.
Â
- Ensuring all jobs are accurately recorded and that orders are updated
- Collating documentation including Consignment Notes and AML forms
- Booking in deliveries / collections as required
- Briefing and debriefing drivers
- Ensuring pricing tables are up to date and jobs are invoiced accurately as required
- Providing regular situation reports and updates to managers
- Downloading driver’s tachograph cards
- Complying with all health and safety rules and regulations
- Reporting any health and safety issues
- Undertake such other duties that are reasonably requested
Skills/Knowledge     Â
- The ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- A Professional telephone manner
- Strong IT skills
