As a Welder Fabricator you will have a strong background in manufacturing, with the ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and produce high-quality metal products. You will be responsible for performing welding tasks, fabricating components, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding and Fabrication:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel components ranging from 2mm - 20mm.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct tests and inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
- Repair damaged or defective components as needed.
- Operation of Other Machinery:
- Plasma, Press-brake & Guillotine
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Qualified to level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proficient in MIG and TIG Welding
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic Salary up to £40k + Overtime
- Standard working week on days, 39 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays
