Overview
Russell Taylor are seeking additional Class 1 drivers to work for a client based in Worksop. The role will involve making deliveries to various clients/ Depots in England.
This is a multi drop role with minimal handball and may involve 10+ drops and collections per shift. Drivers will be expected to move pallets to the back of the trailer where the client will then unload.
On occasion drivers may be required to driver another vehicle (Van , 7.5T, class 2) but will receive they same pay as the role they were initially booked for.
Start times for the role are between (Apply online only), drivers will be advised of their start time daily by the transport team.
Shifts can be long and drivers should expect between 13-15 hour days.
Pay rates are:
15.50- Days (Apply online only))
16.50 - nights (Apply online only))
Nights out 40.00
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including refrigerated lorries, for the delivery of goods.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
Requirements
- Valid C+ E Licence with no more than 6 points - NO DD, DR, IN
- Valid CPC and digi card
- Min 6 months experience with current licence
- Refrigeration experience would be advantageous
- All drivers must be prepared for nights out in case of traffic/ road closures.
