Are you an experienced bookkeeper with a passion for numbers and a knack for detail?

We're recruiting for a well-respected and dynamic accountancy firm, where your skills and expertise will be valued and rewarded!

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Handle payroll processing and tax compliance.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior bookkeeping staff.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and external auditors as needed.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • A professional certification (e.g., AAT, ICB) is a plus.
