Murray Recruitment are recruiting a permanent Hire Controller for our client based in South Lanarkshire.
Role Overview:

The Hire Controller will play a crucial role in coordinating hire and service arrangements for customers and construction companies. The role demands a high level of customer service and professionalism, with the chance to work in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding plant and services.
- Manage and monitor incoming enquiries via telephone, website, and email.
- Ensure all enquiries are responded to within the hour, following internal guidance.
- Engage in a range of administrative tasks, including filing and purchase ledger support.
- Maintain regular contact with drivers and assist in resolving any service issues.
- Collaborate with the yard team to ensure daily operational readiness.
- Process and confirm off-hires in a timely and accurate manner.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication.
- Work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team with a positive and humorous approach.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar Administrator position is highly desirable.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Offering:
- Salary from £26,984 per annum.
- Hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- Holidays 28 days including bank holidays
