Digital Bookkeeper

Location: Carmarthen

Position: Permanent, full time

Salary:   £22,880.00-£25,000.00 per yearI'm seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our clients Digital Bookkeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in bookkeeping services.
  • Update and maintain client records through relevant accounting software systems.
  • Prepare VAT returns, monitor deadlines, and address client queries.
  • Handle HMRC enquiries and provide accurate reporting.
  • Conduct bookkeeping preparation for a variety of business entities using both computerised and manual systems.
  • Support clients in transitioning to Making Tax Digital.
  • Train new clients on accounting software systems.
  • Assist with ad hoc project work for clients as needed.
  • Liaise with clients to address their bookkeeping needs and day-to-day queries.
  • Enroll clients in new software systems and ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

  •     Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
  •     Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, or Xero.
  •     Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  •     Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  •     Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders within the organisation.
