Are you looking to kickstart your career in Town Planning and gain hands-on experience across a variety of exciting projects? We have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Town Planner to join a dynamic planning consultancy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, ideally with a degree in Town Planning, Geography, or a related field, who is keen to develop their skills in a professional environment. As a Graduate Town Planner, you will be provided with the chance to work on a wide range of projects, contributing to both private and public sector planning solutions.

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Town Planner you will be guided and mentored by experienced planning professionals, gaining valuable experience in various aspects of Town Planning. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates to apply their university education in a practical setting and enhance their knowledge in a progressive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and gather evidence for various planning proposals.
  • Prepare written reports and respond to consultations from stakeholders and local authorities.
  • Assist in managing Local Development Plan Candidate Site Applications.
  • Interpret planning legislation, policies, and guidance relevant to proposals.
  • Submit planning applications using the Planning Portal.
  • Support the progression of proposed developments from initial concept through to approval.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Geography, or a similar relevant field.
  • A keen interest in planning and development processes.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.
