A leading Civil and Structural Engineer Consultancy is seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join its dynamic team in Carmarthen. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across diverse and impactful initiatives.Top of Form In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of technical and design projects. Your duties will include working closely with clients and other project team members to define project requirements, deliver technical outputs (reports, drawings, calculations), and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical aspects of projects, including reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Identify and manage project risks (commercial, design, and construction) in consultation with senior staff.
  • Monitor and control project outputs and costs, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon targets.
  • Provide advice and updates to clients on project planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of your assigned projects.
  • Support, supervise, and mentor junior engineers in technical and professional development.

  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and manage sensitive business information.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in teams and independently when required.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines, with flexibility when needed.

  • Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc or MEng degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field).
  • Chartered Engineer status or relevant postgraduate experience, with a clear plan to achieve Chartered status.
  • Knowledge of relevant Codes of Practice, Eurocodes, British Standards, Building Regulations, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Proficiency with Revit for 2D/3D modelling, and experience with software such as PDS, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and Master series.
