Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Locum Community Occupational Therapist to join our team in Carmarthen. This is a full-time, temporary position starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing community-based occupational therapy services to individuals within the local community. The role will involve working with clients to promote independence and improve quality of life through the assessment and treatment of physical and psychological issues impacting daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the community setting to determine their occupational needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to enhance patients’ ability to carry out activities of daily living.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience in community occupational therapy, ideally within a Band 6 role.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage a varied caseload.
  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle for community visits.
