Band 7 Paediatric Dietician- Locum role

Based at: Carmarthen (South Wales)

Start date- ASAP Until- End of June. (Ongoing)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Paediatric Dietitian to lead and provide expert dietetic care to children and young people across a range of clinical areas. This role involves working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist dietetic assessments, treatment plans, and support for complex paediatric conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will also contribute to service development, provide supervision and leadership to junior staff, and support student training. The post requires strong communication skills, leadership, and a passion for paediatric nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist dietetic assessment and treatment for children with a range of clinical conditions including but not limited to: faltering growth, allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, metabolic disorders, and tube feeding.

  • Deliver care in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, home visits, and virtual consultations.

  • Lead the dietetic component of paediatric multidisciplinary teams, liaising closely with consultants, nurses, speech therapists, and other health professionals.
