We are seeking a Part Time  Accounts Assistant to join our client's accounts department. This role involves assisting with various day-to-day financial operations and requires a candidate with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist the Financial Controller with various accounting duties.
  • Handle telephone queries from customers, suppliers, and other third parties as required.
  • Process all cash and bank receipts.
  • Conduct reconciliation and processing of weekly expenses BACs payments.
  • Post accounting journals into the accounting package, Sage 200.
  • Allocate receipts onto the system to sales invoices.
  • Ensure that customer balances reconcile to Sage.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within required timescales, and communicate promptly if deadlines cannot be met.
  • Perform any other duties as required by your line manager commensurate with your role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Accounts and use of SAGE.
  • Good literacy skills, with excellent organisational skills.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload independently.
