Teaching Assistant – Level 2

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support to a Year 3 pupil at a popular local primary school. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The position requires a compassionate individual who can build a lasting relationship with the pupil to boost their social and emotional development. The pupil also requires additional support academically. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide consistent 1-2-1 support to a Year 3 pupil, focusing on academic and emotional assistance.
  • Work part-time, 5 mornings per week.
  • Engage with the pupil to enhance learning and participation without any behavioural management issues.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to ensure the pupil's educational and personal needs are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND.
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
  • Patience, understanding, and a genuine interest in helping children achieve their potential.
  • Preferred: Experience or knowledge in dealing with SEND and other learning difficulties.
