Hardware Engineer Warton

This role offers the chance to work as a Complex Electronic Hardware Certification Engineer within the Radar Equipment Design Responsibility team, supporting Complex Electronic Hardware development efforts for the E-Scan Radar programme. You will collaborate with the Radar Equipment Supplier, as well as various engineering disciplines, to ensure the successful delivery of radar programmes, with a focus on quality, safety, and timeliness.

You will be part of a small team, managing all Radar Complex Electronic Hardware activities, which will require a strong systems engineering background. Experience with radar systems and Complex Electronic Hardware development in line with RTCA DO-254 standards is ideal, though training will be provided. Strong communication and project management skills are essential, as well as the ability to handle a dynamic workload.

Regular travel within the UK and Europe is required.

The electronics Hardware Engineer  will be resposibile for the ;- 

  • Review supplier Data Requirement Lists.
  • Support the resolution of Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) related issues
  • Review CEH declarations and evidence in clearance documentation
  • Generate CEH Summary Reports for formal Radar Software releases
  • Support Certification Authority-led CEH Stage of Involvement audits at European supplier sites
Required Skills and Experience:
  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience (preferably with Software or Systems Engineering focus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience or knowledge of radar systems is highly desirable
