We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor to join the ICR Operations team, based in Carnforth.

The Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of Workshop activities. This includes supporting Management to correctly prepare, plan and execute various work-fronts under strict job-carding controls (where applicable). This role will also include the application of HSEQ controls, full QA/QC of all product and service lines prior to dispatch, working with the Goods-In/Out Procedure to ensure movements of inventory and assets are executed in line with the company processes and procedures. The Workshop Supervisor will additionally be responsible for the allocation of personnel to jobs in the workshop, ensuring the work is carried out within specified time periods.

This role will report to the Operations Manager.

The main tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • To ensure that the maintenance and repair of all site equipment (On Site Machining, Quickflange, Installation and Composite Repair & Leak Sealing Services) is carried out in line with Company standards and deadlines.
  • To distribute work to any technicians allocated to the Workshop, ensuring that they are provided with any necessary information required to carry out the work, along with hours to complete / client deadlines.
  • Ensure toolbox talks and risk assessments are carried out and signed off.
  • Ensure interface between operations teams is maintained and daily, weekly and monthly deliverables are achieved across all product and service lines.
  • Responsible for all QA/QC checks on all product and service lines are carried out as per job requirements.
  • To ensure any jigs and fittings are manufactured to suit Customer deadlines.
  • Responsible for rota system to provide 24/7 workshop cover.
  • Assist with the management & development of BMS related processes under supervision.
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure all min/max levels are agreed with Management.
  • Assist with managing, organising and delivering general workshop tasks.
  • Assist with maintenance and continual improvement of company asset registers and trackers.
  • Assist with ensuring that the Workshop, Loading Bay, Stores and Technician Areas are adequately maintained, organised and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Ensure good, safe working practices in the workshop are maintained at all times with compliance to the Company's HSE policies.
  • Provide weekly updates to Management on all activities.

Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Mechanical workshop experience, alongside a Mechanical background.
  • Ability to work using own initiative (with minimal supervision).
  • Driven and goal orientated.
  • Well organised and methodical.
  • Experience with time writing management systems and processes.
  • Experience with the management of stock.
  • Personable, confident, well presented, extremely professional and in possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
