We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Teacher for a maternity cover, starting in the Summer Term of 2025. This role involves teaching a mixed-age class of Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 students at a popular village school known for its friendly and supportive environment. There is potential for this position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach and manage a mixed-age class consisting of Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 students.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of different age groups within the same class.
  • Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to maximise student development.
  • Contribute to the school community and participate in school events and activities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching mixed-age groups is preferred.
  • Recent and relevant teaching experience is essential.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans for mixed-age classes.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Excellent knowledge of continuous provision and how it supports learning in early years.
