Reed Education is seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of the English curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
- Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet studentsā varying needs and interests.
- Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- Recent and relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be patient, trustworthy, and a good role model.
- Must be reliable, committed, and interested in fostering a positive learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure, including a Childrenās barred list check and satisfactory referencing.
