Lunchtime Welfare Assistant - Carnforth (LA5)



Location: CARNFORTH



Hours: 12:15PM-13:15PM



Contract: TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY - TERM TIME ONLY



Start Date: JANUARY 2025





Role Overview:

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Lunchtime Welfare Assistant to support a school in the Carnforth area. This vital role involves supervising pupils during the lunch period to ensure their safety, well-being, and enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising children in the dining hall, playground, and other areas during lunch breaks.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, inclusivity, and safe play.
  • Assisting with serving meals, clearing tables, and maintaining a tidy dining area.
  • Supporting children with additional needs as required.
  • Responding calmly and effectively to any minor first-aid incidents (training will be provided).
  • Reporting concerns or incidents to senior staff.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in working with children and ensuring their well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided).
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
