The Role:

We excited to be working with a growing MedTech who are looking to expand their engineering team! This company specialise in life and business critical software engineering and database development services targeted at hospitals and medical labs. Their clients also benefit for 24/7/365 support and maintenance services, which is all run out of their Cumbria offices! The business are employee-owned and they boast an exceptional staff retention rate.

In this position, you will work with the team to build high quality software applications for their growing customer base. The bulk of their development projects use .NET and C#, however there will be an occasional expectation to work on Android projects (Kotlin and Java).

Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and developing user-facing features and server side code
  • Optimisation of applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Building reusable code and libraries to be used again in the future
  • Developer testing and validation processes
  • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders
  • Liaising with customers occasionally and supporting them via telephone, email or teams

The Person:

  • 3+ years in a relevant development role
  • Experience working commercially with C#, .NET, MVC, Web Forms, API Design, and Azure
  • Knowledge of database development techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability and desire to liaise with end customers as / when required
