A Teaching Assistant is needed at an All-Boys Catholic Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.

The team are looking for a Teaching Assistant to help with a student in their Specialist Resource Provision for 16-19 year olds with Moderate Learning Difficulties.

This Teaching Assistant post would require you to work 1:1 with an 18 year old male pupil with Autism.

Experience of managing challenging behaviour and training of how to safely handle physical altercations in schools safely would be essential in order to be considered for this Teaching Assistant position.

2 days a week will be the initial work pattern for this Teaching Assistant role, with it eventually increasing to 5 days a week, in order to get the student back into education.

The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant role will be between 90 and 120 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you're a recent Graduate with experience of working with 16 to 19 year olds or an experienced Teaching Assistant.

You're also encouraged to apply if you're a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.

* Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
* UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
* Experience of working with young people aged 16 to 19 years old or as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
