SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time – Wandle Valley – Carshalton

We are seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our Primary and Secondary School in Carshalton. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive environment, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Role Details:
  • Location: Carshalton, London Borough of Sutton
  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Please only apply if you can work 5 days)
  • Pay: £85 - £95 per day (PAYE)
The Role Will Involve:
  • Providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
  • Assisting in the classroom, delivering small group and one-to-one interventions
  • Supporting emotional regulation and social development
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN professionals to create a positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and/or challenging behaviours
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A passion for supporting young people and a willingness to learn
  • Experience with SEN (Essential)
