This ‘Outstanding’ school based in Carshalton, Sutton is looking for Primary School Teacher for start ASAP.

You could say that the school is a training school for young people aged 5 -16 with ‘superpowers’. It is their intention to support and guide all their pupils in how to manage these super powers positively and teach them how to use them to support their learning and that of others. They aim to do this within and alongside our curriculum, with a number of interventions and therapies specifically tailored to support their individual pupil needs.

As a special school for social, emotional and mental health difficulties they have pupils who possess a range of abilities, aptitudes and interests. They offer a full range of opportunities for pupils to gain nationally recognised accreditation, as best suits pupil’s specific needs, as well as broaden each pupil’s life experiences through a range of enrichment opportunities. They want their pupils to build up respect, honesty and empathy through showing determination and resilience; not always the easiest thing to do, but one that we strive for

The desired Primary Teacher will have:

  • Experience of working with SEMH pupils in a teaching environment.
  • A passion for the progress of SEN school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team and flexible approach to support this schools requirements.
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
