We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Media Technician to join our team within a Further Education Establishment based in Carshalton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of media production, including audio, video, and digital media. This role requires a strong understanding of media equipment, software, and production techniques.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for various events and productions.
  • Assist in the production of multimedia content, including video recording, editing, and post-production.
  • Provide technical support for live broadcasts, webinars, and virtual events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to media equipment and software.
  • Collaborate with the media team to ensure high-quality production standards.
  • Manage and organize media assets, including video footage, audio recordings, and digital files.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in media technology.
  • Train and support staff and students in the use of media equipment and software.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Proficiency in using media production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Office).
  • Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment and production techniques.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A degree or certification in Media Production, Film, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
