SEMH English Teacher (Sutton, SM4) - Immediate Start
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced English School teacher to be join a supportive team for class teaching in Sutton. The Pupil Referral Unit caters to students aged 11-16.
Daily Rate: GBP150 - GBP256
Location: Carshalton, located in the London Borough of Sutton
Contract Type: 5 days a week, Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Long Term, Temp-Perm
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to individual student needs.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment in small group settings.
Build strong relationships with pupils to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
Collaborate with a dedicated team to support the personal and academic development of students.
Take on the planning, preparation, and assessment duties associated with the role, as well as contribute to the wider responsibilities expected of a permanent member of staff.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching KS3 or primary-aged students, ideally in a PRU or similar setting.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of learners.
Empathy, resilience, and a proactive approach to working with students with additional challenges.
A valid DBS on the update service.
The right to work in the UK.
Proven teaching experience.
